Train Nerd Problems - Complete with MS Paint Diagram.

I'm going to New York on Saturday.

The question is, do I take Metro North out of Danbury and have a slim chance of getting a shiny new M8  as the connecting train out of South Norwalk, or do I drive an extra 10 minutes down the highway, pay $3 more round trip, spend a half an hour LESS on the train, and ride the Harlem line which I have never done, and I get to ride an M7, which is better than the stuck in the retro years predominant rolling stock on the New Haven Line and having to switch in South Norwalk because the Danbury branch isn't electrified.

This pains me. Riding an M8 would probably make my whole damn trip, but I don't think Metro North runs that many trains of them to begin with, let alone on a friggin weekend - I know last time I went to New York, I saw a  few sitting  in New Haven and Stamford in the yard not in service *pouty face*

Honestly, I'll prolly hoof it to Brewster. Unless the magical @MetroNorthTweet answers my question and tells me there will be an M8 connection, but I'm pretty sure they probably can't tell me that, even if they wanted to.

Yup, this explains it. Click to see my MS Paint skills in full size enlarged glory :)
